The whole Roofscapes team wishes you a year 2025 filled with inspiring discoveries and realized projects. 2024 was a particularly important year for Roofscapes:

For sure, we delivered our pilot project to the Académie du Climat, but what else?

We demonstrated the impact of our approach in real-life conditions, recording temperature reductions of 17 degrees in the attic of the Académie du Climat. We were named by ArchDaily as one of the 20 most innovative architectural approaches of 2024 worldwide. We accompanied two Master’s classes on adapting Parisian roofs to climate change (at ENSCI Les Ateliers and Harvard University Graduate School of Design). We won 3 prizes in the finals of La WoodTech and Xylofutur's Startup Challenge. We showed our pilot project to over 600 people, including the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and her team, who inaugurated it (we'll soon be opening a few visit slots for those who haven't yet had the chance). We appeared on France 2's prime time news and France 24. We welcomed Eleni Myrivili, the Chief Heat Officer of UN-Habitat to our pilot project. We won the Innov'Up call for projects from Bpifrance and the Île-de-France region. We worked with Cerema teams on our experimental protocol. And above all, we've planted the seeds of several exciting projects that we'll be telling you about in the near future!
