Early January, our co-founder Olivier Faber traveled to Arles in the south of France to co-instruct a week-long workshop with MITdesignX at Atelier LUMA. Atelier LUMA is a biomaterial laboratory which prototypes new materials for construction and manufacturing from the bio-region of Arles. For this week, Atelier LUMA was interested in testing unexplored ways to bring some of their research to the industry, with projects spanning from algea, solid salt, clay, wool, biopolymers, and more! The role of Roofscapes was to share from our experience in building a professional practice from an idea developed in the lab. What a week!
