This week on our construction site at Académie du Climat, we had the honor to welcome Eleni Myrivili, who is the UN Chief Heat Officer at UN-Habitat and Arsht-Rock Resilience Center. Eleni coordinates global action against heat and stressed that shading from direct sun exposure is one of the main approaches to embrace. It was a pleasure to discuss in larger detail our approach to tactical climate adaptation in Paris, and share with her the progress we have made. Our pilot project at the Académie du Climat aims to measure the impact of our zinc roof climate adaptation system on thermal comfort, biodiversity and rainwater retention. The project is led by the City of Paris' Department of Ecological Transition and Climate with technical support from the Department of Public Works and Architecture and the Department of Green Spaces and the Environment. We are delighted to be working with MEHA - Construction Bois for the carpentry and roofing work and with Topager for the landscaping and maintenance.
